Must Try Treats On Your Disney Vacation

While on your trip to Disney the rides are not the only thing you will want to visit at Disney. Disney is well known for their mouthwatering desserts and treats. Whether you want something savoury or sweet, here is a list of must try treats while visiting Walt Disney World.

1. Dole Whip

The one treat you can’t miss on every Disney vacation is a Dole Whip. You can find this heavenly, sweet treat at Aloha Isle and at Disney’s Polynesian Resort. This is the perfect treat on a hot day, a blend of pineapple, vanilla, or swirled flavours. You can also make this into a float!

2. Nutella Waffle

Stop by Sleepy Hollow at Liberty Square in Magic Kingdom and try a delicious Fresh Fruit Waffle Sandwich! This is exactly what it is named after, a fluffy waffle packed full of Nutella, strawberries, blueberries, and bananas!

3. Sweet Cream Cheese Pretzel

Disney offers many different pretzels throughout the park, but the one you won’t want to miss is the Sweet Cream Cheese Pretzel at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. You can find this tasty treat at a snack cart near Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway. Previously it was sold at the Launch Pad in Magic Kingdom, but currently it is unavailable. This oversized pretzel is stuffed with sweet cream cheese icing and the outside is topped with breadcrumbs instead of salt.

4. Churros

It is well known that when visiting Disney you must stop and grab a churro. But, with so many different types of churros, you won’t have time to try them all. Which one should you try? If you are going to try one, it should be at Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Café in Magic Kingdom. These churros are served with a chocolate dipping sauce and the perfect snack for every sweet tooth!

5. Cinnamon Rolls

While spending the day at Magic Kingdom, stop over to Fantasy Land and grab a delectable warm cinnamon roll from Gaston’s Tavern. This Gaston sized cinnamon roll is big enough to share, making it a great family treat!

6. Popcorn

This is defiantly Walt Disney Worlds most affordable snack. Pay $12 for a popcorn bucket and get refills for only $2! A perfect, cheap snack for kids to share while walking around the parks! The popcorn buckets also make a great souvenir, throughout the park’s buckets are themed different, so kids can pick out what themed bucket they would like.

7. Turkey Leg

Turkey Legs are a great savoury snack to have while spending the day at Disney. Turkey legs became popular in the 1980’s and now are a must have treat while visiting the parks. This easily becomes a tradition you will want to continue to have this snack every time you go back to Disney.

8. Caramel Apple

Throughout Disney parks you will find different themed Caramel Mickey Ear Apples that will quickly become a favourite treat! The caramel apples at Disney are perfectly decorated and themed around different areas of the park and different seasons. One favourite of many is the Minnie Mouse Valentines caramel apple.

9. Nachos

When visiting Epcot stop by La Cantina de San Angel and try the savory, mouthwatering nachos. This is the perfect resting spot, where you can grab a beer and some nachos and lookout over the water or watch the fireworks. These nachos are loaded tortilla chips topped with white nacho cheese, ground beef, beans, tomatoes, jalapeños, and sour cream.

10. Macaroon Ice Cream Sandwich

What could be better than a macaroon from France? Obviously, the only thing that could be better would be a soft Macaroon ice cream sandwich! This cool treat is perfect in the Florida heat and a great way to cool off. You can find this sweet treat at the France Pavilion in the Worlds Showcase in Epcot.

11. Cheeseburger Steamed Pods

While visiting Pandora at Animal Kingdom, stop by Satu’li Canteen and grab a cheeseburger steamed pod! This delectable, steamed cheeseburger pod is packed with ground beef, ketchup, mustard, pickle, and cheddar cheese! Served with vegetable slaw topped with boba and veggie chips, this is more of a meal, but you can’t leave Pandora without grabbing one!

12. Cinnamon Glazed Nuts

You will have a hard time walking past cinnamon glazed nuts at Disney World. Throughout the Disney parks you will smell the stand that has the cinnamon glazed nuts. These cinnamon and sugar covered nuts are a flavourful treat and not too heavy in the heat. A great snack the kids will love!

13. Mickey Bar

Saving the best for last in this list is the Mickey ice cream bar! Known as “The Happiest Snack on Earth”, this delicious ice cream bar is a must have treat while on any Walt Disney World Vacation. My kids love ending their trip to Disney grabbing a bar before we leave on the last day. A great tradition to start for every Disney family!

So, have you decided what treat will you have on your trip to Walt Disney World? With so many to choose from make sure you plan and pick the treat you won’t want to miss on your magical vacation!
