Best Disney World Resorts For Your Vacation

While on planning your trip to Disney World choosing which resort for your family to stay at will be a big part of your planning and will be a big decision. From what room size to pick or how much you can afford, there will be many factors that will play out on which resort you will choose. Here is a helpful list that will help narrow down your search and help you pick the best resort to make your stay magical.


Best Resort for Young Kids

Art and Animation

Disney’s Art and Animation is the best resort to stay at with young kids. When staying here you can pick your room to be themed as The Little Mermaid, Nemo, or Cars. These rooms are bigger than most of the other Walt Disney Resorts and have much more space. This is a value resort, so it is great for parents trying to save money. The family suites sleep up to six guests and even have a kitchenette. This resort offers bus and Disney’s new Skyliner Transportation to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios.


The Art and Animation Resort has the largest resort pool out of all the Walt Disney Resorts, The Big Blue Pool, themed after Nemo and even has a fun interactive water play area for the little ones. There are two other pools at this resort- Cozy Cone Pool, themed after Disney and Pixar’s Cars Movie and Flippin’ Fins Pool, themed after Sebastian from The Little Mermaid.


Best Resort on a Budget


Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground

Looking to spend a little less on accommodations? Try camping at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. Florida weather October through May is perfect weather for a camping trip. You can rent a tent from Disney, and they will even set it up for you, making packing much lighter!


This resort has it all and is priced affordably for campers. There are so many fun amenities staying at Fort Wilderness you will want to plan a day just to hang out and enjoy the resort. Rent a golf cart and drive around on the resorts beautiful 750 acres. Spend the day lounging by the pool or have fun with some unique recreation such as archery, horseback riding or canoeing! Decorate your campsite for holidays and even trick or treat here on Halloween!


Best Resorts for a Romantic Getaway


Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

Going on a romantic weekend getaway? Head over to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. This elegant, lavish Disney resort has everything you will need for an adult weekend away. These New England Style resorts are elegant and charming for parents, but also has great recreation areas for the kids. Take a bus, boat, or Disney’s new Skyliner Transportation over to the parks or sit by the lake and enjoy the gorgeous views. Walk over to Disney’s Board walk and watch nightly street entertainers or have a bowl of ice cream at scoops.
